Esme McDermott is an engineer, mixer, and producer based in Los Angeles.

Esme works with artists of all genres, spending most time in the world of indie, folk, and pop. She loves bringing carefully crafted songs all the way from notes app beginnings to their final fully produced form, ready for release.

A songwriter herself, she understands the vulnerability of bringing people into your art, and does her best to do that trust justice. She believes it is her job to listen to the artist, pay attention to what the art needs, and make the process of producing and recording as unobscured and fun as possible. Every music project is unique, and Esme’s versatile background in music and recording technology allows her to adapt to the needs and work flow of each artist she works with.

Throughout her career, she has also worked on film scores, sound design for theater, in live broadcast, and as an engineer in professional recording studios.
